Denzell O. Perry

Denzell O. Perry is a lifelong resident of Compton, having attended Lincoln Magnet Elementary School, Enterprise Middle School, and graduating with honors from Dominguez High School. He was a first-generation college graduate from Menlo College, earning a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management. He also studied law at Pepperdine University School of Law and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Human Resource Management. Perry currently works as the Head of HR for the West Coast Sales Market at H&M. He was elected to the Compton Unified School District Board of Trustees in 2022 and served as Board President for the 2023-24 term. Overcoming personal challenges, including learning disabilities, has been a key part of his journey. He is also an active member of the California Democratic Party, serving as a Delegate for Senate District 35.
