Derek Wulf, a Republican, is an incumbent State Representative for Iowa's 76th district. A farmer and rancher by profession, he previously worked as a swine nutrition and production specialist. He earned his bachelor's degree from Iowa State University in 2004 and is a graduate of Hudson High School. Wulf assumed office in January 2023 and currently chairs the House Agriculture Committee in the 91st General Assembly. He has also been involved in his community, serving as president of the Black Hawk County Cattlemen and on the Black Hawk County Fairboard. He is seeking re-election in the 2026 Republican primary.
