Diane Wheatley was born in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. She graduated from 71st High School and earned an associate degree in nursing from Fayetteville Technical Community College. Her career includes working as a registered nurse and as the Chief Financial Officer and Contract Manager for Bragg Lines, Incorporated. Prior to her role in the State House, Wheatley served on the Cumberland County School Board from 1994 to 2004 and the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners from 2004 to 2008. She assumed office as a member of the North Carolina House of Representatives for District 43 on January 1, 2021.
