Dolores A. Witko

Dolores A. Witko is a lifelong public servant and Bergen County resident with extensive experience in local government. She served for six years on the Closter Borough Council and a decade on the Closter Board of Education, where she was also Chair of the Human Resources Committee and Fire Commissioner. An Executive Board Member and Delegate for District 1199J AFSCME union, Witko advocates for breaking with the status quo. She is a Democratic candidate for Bergen County Commissioner, focusing on accountability and transparency, and aims to represent the taxpayers and voters of Bergen County rather than the political establishment. She previously ran for Closter Mayor in 2022.
