Don Vanney is a lifelong resident of Arlington, Washington. He was elected Mayor of Arlington for a term beginning January 1, 2024, after serving on the City Council since February 2020. His professional background is in purchasing, contract negotiations, and budget management. He studied at Everett Community College and Shoreline Community College. He has been a volunteer with the Washington State Special Olympics for over 40 years.
