Born in Yokosuka, Japan, he resides in Townville, South Carolina. Chapman earned bachelor's and master's degrees in interior design and architecture from Savannah College of Art and Design in 1989. His extensive career includes serving as an architect and president of Chapman Design Group, Inc., and as a master builder with Icon Construction of SC, LLC. He has also held leadership roles with the Home Builder Association of Anderson, the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Anderson County Arts Center. Chapman is seeking re-election in the 2026 Republican primary for House District 8.
