Donald James Ardell

Donald J. Ardell is an incumbent Republican State Representative for Maine's House District 6, currently serving his second term in the 132nd Legislature. He is seeking re-election in the 2026 Republican primary on June 9th. Representative Ardell serves on the Joint Standing Committee on Criminal Justice and Public Safety and the House Engrossed Bills Committee. A resident of Monticello, his background includes a career as a retired federal law enforcement officer, having worked as a criminal investigator and immigration agent. He holds a B.A. in Fine Arts and Criminology from SUNY Plattsburgh (1995) and is involved with local community groups.
