Donnie Loftis is a native of Gaston County and a 30-year combat veteran of the United States Army and the North Carolina Army National Guard, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and earned a Bronze Star and Combat Action Badge. Prior to his state legislative service, Loftis was a District Training Store Manager for CVS/pharmacy for 15 years. He has also served as a Gaston County Commissioner and as chairman of the CaroMont Health board of directors. He was first appointed to the North Carolina House of Representatives in November 2021 to fill a vacancy.
