Dorothy Royal

Dorothy Royal is a local business owner and community advocate in Holly Ridge. She graduated from PACE University in New York with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. After college, she moved to North Carolina and has since owned and operated several businesses, including Surf City Guns and Ammo, LLC, Pearl Valley, LLC (a general contracting firm), and Paradise Axe and Arcade. Royal has a history of community involvement, serving as the President of the Topsail Area Chamber of Commerce in 1996 and more recently as the chairperson for the Bee City Committee and the inaugural Holly Ridge Bee Festival. She has also been a columnist for the Topsail Times Newspaper. Her family has deep roots in Holly Ridge; her husband and children were born in the town.
