Douglas J. Phillips

Douglas J. Phillips is an attorney and business owner who ran as a Republican for Harford County Council in District E. Growing up in a military family, he is a self-described traditional conservative. Phillips has built several businesses and, as an attorney in private practice, has represented thousands of Marylanders. He is active in his community, coaching youth sports, and volunteering with his church and the Churchville Lions Club. His campaign priorities included stopping the crowding of roads and schools, fiscal responsibility, and preserving open space. He was involved in the passage of the Elijah Gorham Act, which upgraded emergency procedures in Maryland schools.
