Dylan Quarles

Dylan Quarles was born in Portland, Oregon, and raised in Port Townsend, graduating from Port Townsend High School in 2004. He earned a bachelor's degree from The Evergreen State College in 2007. His professional background includes facilities management for a large mental health nonprofit, working as a locksmith at Fort Worden PDA, and serving as a reading specialist for the Quilcene School District, where he was also a union treasurer and vice president. Quarles is a published author of five novels, including the award-winning "There Be Monsters," and a biography. His short story series, "A Secret History of Port Townsend," has been optioned for film.
