Ed Byrne is an incumbent Republican State Representative for Montana's House District 11, serving since January 6, 2025. Born in Spokane, Washington in 1965, he was first elected in 2024, representing an area east of Kalispell. He is seeking re-election in the Republican primary on June 2, 2026. During his first session, Byrne successfully sponsored legislation to make the Montana ammunition act permanent and revise laws for agricultural vehicles on the highway. He also proposed bills concerning agricultural vehicle liability and property tax rates, and is noted for suggesting future "anti-skullduggery" legislation. He represents Bigfork and Creston residents.
