Edgar Flores, a son of immigrants raised in the Las Vegas Valley, serves in the Nevada State Senate, representing District 2, a position he assumed in 2022. He previously served in the Nevada State Assembly for District 28 from 2014 to 2022, also acting as Democratic Whip. A graduate of the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV, he is passionate about assisting families, improving lives for all Nevadans, and mentors students. He teaches policymaking at UNLV's Doctorate of Public Policy Program and is seeking re-election to the State Senate in 2026.
