Raised in Gorham and a Fordham University graduate, she previously worked as a professional dancer, bartender, and legislative aide. Sato is a Democratic candidate for Maine State Senate, District 30, in the 2026 primary election, aiming to succeed Senator Stacy Brenner. Her platform includes enshrining abortion rights, expanding gender-affirming care, advocating for universal child care, renewable energy, and lowering healthcare and housing costs. If elected, she would be the first Asian American to serve in the State Senate.
