Eli Northrup

Eli Northrup is a public defender and policy advocate who has worked for over a decade representing low-income individuals in criminal court. He serves as the Policy Director for the Criminal Defense Practice at The Bronx Defenders. Northrup earned a bachelor's degree from Cornell University in 2007, a J.D. from New York University School of Law in 2011, and an L.L.M. in Trial Advocacy from Georgetown University Law Center in 2015. His career includes a fellowship at Georgetown Law and clerkships for federal judges. He was also involved in launching the Bronx Cannabis Hub to assist those impacted by the War on Drugs.
