Eliott Rodriguez is a Democratic candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in Florida's 27th Congressional District. The son of Cuban immigrants, Rodriguez is a retired television news anchor and journalist who stepped down from CBS News Miami in late 2025 after a 48-year broadcasting career. He officially launched his congressional campaign in March 2026, centering his platform on addressing South Florida's cost of living and housing affordability crises, as well as immigration reform.
