Elizabeth Embry is a Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 43A in Baltimore City since January 11, 2023. A lifelong resident of Baltimore, Embry has built an extensive career in public service rooted in her legal background. She is a graduate of Baltimore City College, Yale University, and Columbia Law School. Prior to her election to the legislature, her professional experience included serving as the chief of the Maryland Attorney General's criminal division and as a Deputy State's Attorney for Baltimore City. Embry was also a candidate for Mayor of Baltimore in 2016 and for Lieutenant Governor of Maryland in 2018. In the House of Delegates, she serves on the Judiciary Committee.
