Elizabeth "Beth" Parsons Kennett was born in Monroe, NC. She earned a BA in Music Education and Flute Performance from Gardner-Webb College in 1986 and a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1989. Kennett has worked as an organizational consultant, coach, and training facilitator for 20 years and is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ. She currently works as a Project Manager II at Atrium Health – Wake Forest Baptist. She has lived in Burlington for over 30 years with her husband, Jay, and they have two adult daughters.
