Elizabeth Reid, also known as Beth, moved to Hoquiam with her family in 2010. She was appointed to the Hoquiam City Council in August 2019 to fill a vacant Ward 6 position. She has a background as a researcher and senior assistant for an international company that helps foreign students enter American schools. Reid has studied international affairs at the University of Oregon and Western Governor's University. She has expressed a desire to perform her civic duty and improve her community.
