Elizabeth Velasco

Elizabeth Velasco is the incumbent Democratic Representative for Colorado's House District 57, representing Eagle, Garfield, and Pitkin counties. She currently serves as Majority Co-Whip and is Vice Chair of the Energy & Environment Committee, with additional assignments to the Appropriations and Transportation, Housing & Local Government committees. Beyond her legislative duties, Velasco is a business owner and a public information officer specializing in wildland fire. In the 2026 Regular Session, she has sponsored resolutions including the recognition of National Arab American Heritage Month, the celebration of Nowruz, initiatives to improve retirement readiness, and the protection of Colorado's public lands.
