Elizabeth Wilson

Elizabeth Wilson is an incumbent State Representative for Iowa's District 73, first elected in January 2023. A lifelong Iowan, she was born in Manchester, grew up in Center Point, and now resides in Marion with her two children. Born into a family that utilized welfare, she earned degrees from Cornell College and the University of Iowa, later becoming a small business owner. Wilson emphasizes the importance of a strong social safety net, aiming to ensure all Iowans have similar opportunities. Her priorities include protecting reproductive rights, increasing funding for public education, expanding access to affordable healthcare, and upgrading the state's infrastructure. She previously served on the Linn-Mar School board and supports organizations for foster children and those with disabilities. She is running for re-election in the 2026 Primary.
