Ellen de Jong is a retired family physician with 37 years of experience. She was born in Mineola, New York. She earned a bachelor's degree from Binghamton University in 1980 and her medical degree from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She completed a residency in pediatrics at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital and a residency in anesthesia at Stanford University. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She and her husband have eight children and reside in Sedro-Woolley.
