Emilio Santiago is an archaeologist and cartographer who moved to Friday Harbor in 2017. He grew up in Boston and graduated from Columbia University as an archaeological anthropologist. He has twelve years of experience working for federal government agencies, including the National Park Service and the United States Forest Service. Currently, he is the Cultural Resources Program Manager for San Juan Island National Historical Park. Santiago is also a volunteer wildland firefighter, a member of the San Juan Historical Society, and an organizer for the local chapter of Friday Harbor Green Drinks.
