Emily Sirota

Emily Sirota is a Democratic State Representative for Colorado's District 9, a position she currently holds. An administrator and social worker by profession, she earned her education from Indiana University and the University of Denver. As a legislator, Representative Sirota has been actively involved in key fiscal policy, tax, education, and child care initiatives. She has sponsored and cosponsored bills such as the Qualified Business Income Deduction Add-Back, Processes to Reduce Spending During Shortfall, the School Finance Act, and Child Care Provider Licensing & Quality. She serves as Chair of the Joint Budget Committee and Vice Chair of the Appropriations Committee, reflecting her focus on state finances and resource allocation. She represents parts of Arapahoe and Denver counties.
