Emily Stone was appointed to the Gig Harbor City Council in January 2025. She is a senior policy advisor at the Washington State Department of Commerce. Her career includes roles as a social worker, policy director for the Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence, and working for the state legislature. Stone holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Brigham Young University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Washington. Her family has lived in Gig Harbor for over 50 years.
