Eric C. Olson, a Democrat, represents District 3 on the Prince George's County Council. He was first elected to the council in 2006, serving until 2014, which included a tenure as Vice Chair. Olson was re-elected to the council in 2022. His political career began on the College Park City Council, where he served from 1997 to 2006. Earlier, he was an aide to U.S. Representative Bernie Sanders. Olson earned a B.A. in history from Elmira College and an M.A. in American studies from the University of Maryland. He is married and has two children.
