Eric "Doc" Stelnicki is not currently running for office on Civoren.
Eric "Doc" Stelnicki is a board-certified pediatric plastic and craniofacial surgeon, healthcare entrepreneur, and longtime Fort Lauderdale resident. A University of Florida graduate (M.D., 1991) who trained at Washington University, UC San Francisco, and NYU Medical Center, he founded the Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital Cleft and Craniofacial Center and the Children's Plastic Surgery Institute of Florida. He teaches as a professor at Nova Southeastern University and Barry University, has owned businesses in healthcare, real estate, technology, and boating, and is a father of five and grandfather of three.
Eric "Doc" Stelnicki has a recorded position on seven issues. Each is Civoren's summary of the campaign's own public material, with the source linked.
Stelnicki opposed legalizing recreational marijuana, citing the 2024 amendment's failure to reach the 60% threshold and arguing that the Legislature should not enact what voters declined.
“Should Florida loosen restrictions on abortion or legalize recreational marijuana? No. Florida voters were asked these questions directly, and under our Constitution neither amendment received the 60 percent required to pass. I respect that result.”

Stelnicki made reducing the cost of living - housing, property taxes, insurance, and utilities - a central campaign priority, arguing that Florida's growth should benefit families rather than simply raise their costs.
“Affordability is the biggest challenge facing our community, particularly housing, property taxes and insurance. Young families are increasingly asking whether they can afford to build a life in the same communities where they grew up.”

Stelnicki supports continued property-insurance reform so that recent changes translate into real premium savings for homeowners, plus property-tax relief targeted at seniors on fixed incomes and young first-time homebuyers.
“The recent reforms were important, but the job is not finished. Florida families are still paying too much for property insurance... We now need to make sure those reforms translate into meaningful savings for homeowners. I also support broader efforts to reduce the overall cost of owning a home, including responsible property tax relief.”

Stelnicki welcomes AI investment and data centers in Florida, but only if they are responsibly located and bear their own power and water costs rather than shifting those costs onto families' utility bills.
“Yes, there is a place for data centers in Florida, but they need to be located responsibly and they should not force surrounding families to subsidize their enormous power or water needs... Florida should welcome AI investment without handing the bill to Florida families.”

Stelnicki campaigned as the only physician running for the Florida House and made healthcare policy a top priority, positioning himself as a knowledgeable voice for medicine and healthcare in the legislature and calling for lower insurance costs.
“I am the only physician in the entire state of Florida running to be in the Florida House of Representatives... I will be the experienced voice for every family's healthcare and medicine.”

Stelnicki opposed loosening Florida's abortion restrictions through legislation, arguing that voters rejected the 2024 ballot measures and that the Legislature should not enact through Tallahassee what voters declined to put into the Constitution.
“Should Florida loosen restrictions on abortion or legalize recreational marijuana? No. Florida voters were asked these questions directly... I do not believe the Legislature should simply disregard that outcome and enact through Tallahassee what voters declined to put into the Constitution.”
