Eric Hall

Dr. Eric Hall was appointed to the Alamance-Burlington Board of Education in April 2025 to fill a vacant seat, with a term that expires in December 2026. He has been a resident of Alamance County for 25 years and has two children in the school system. At Elon University, he is a professor of exercise science, the assistant provost for scholarship and creative activity, and the director of the undergraduate research program. He joined Elon's faculty in 2000 after earning his Ph.D. in exercise psychology from the University of Illinois. His primary research focuses on exercise neuroscience, particularly relating to physical activity, mental health, and the impact of concussions on student-athletes. He has authored over 100 research articles and 10 book chapters.
