Eric Martin Gisler, born in 1976, is an American politician representing Georgia's 121st House District, which includes parts of Clarke and Oconee counties. A Democrat and University of Georgia alumnus, he successfully flipped the Republican-held Athens-area seat in a closely contested 2025 special election, winning by a narrow margin. He assumed office in January 2026, serving the remainder of the previous term. Gisler previously ran for the seat in 2024. He serves on the Defense & Veterans Affairs, Special Rules, and State Planning & Community Affairs committees. His victory is seen as a significant win for Georgia Democrats, boosting momentum in the state, and he has stated his intention to work hard to retain the seat in the upcoming election.
