Erica Standfield Brandon is an incumbent District Court Judge for District 22. In June 2019, Governor Roy Cooper appointed her to the bench, making her the first African American judge to represent Rockingham County. Prior to her appointment, she served as a state prosecutor in the Rockingham County District Attorney's office for nearly a decade. She earned her law degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
