Ethan Corson, born in 1982, is an American politician and attorney representing the 7th district in the Kansas Senate as a Democrat. Elected in 2020, he assumed office in January 2021. Raised in Johnson County, Kansas, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Juris Doctor from Washington University. He is married to Jenna Brofsky, a Fairway City Council member, and they have two sons. Corson announced his candidacy for Governor of Kansas in the 2026 election, selecting Renee Duxler as his running mate for Lieutenant Governor. He is endorsed by current Governor Laura Kelly and former Governor Kathleen Sebelius, aiming to be a middle-of-the-road leader focused on economic and workforce development to keep Kansas progressing.
