Faline Locklear Dial is a member of the Robeson County Board of Commissioners, representing District 4. She is a member of the Lumbee tribe. In June 2025, she, along with two other commissioners, switched her party affiliation from Democrat to Republican. This change resulted in a Republican majority on the board for the first time in the county's history. Dial has stated that her decision was based on a desire to better represent her constituents, as the district has increasingly voted Republican in recent election cycles.
