Faris C. Dixon, Jr. was raised in Goldsboro, North Carolina. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Duke University in 1989 and his Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law in 1992. He has over 25 years of legal experience, having served as an assistant district attorney, a public defender, and a defense attorney in private practice before being elected as the District Attorney for Pitt County.
