Fleta Byrd is a lifelong resident of Wilsons Mills and a graduate of the original Wilson's Mills High School. Before being elected mayor in 2022, she served as the town's Zoning Officer. In addition to her mayoral duties, she co-manages a family farm and serves as a pastor at Wilson's Mills Advent Christian Church. Her public service is focused on community development, educational advocacy, and preserving the town's heritage.
