Floyd L. Griffin Jr. is a retired U.S. Army colonel and a Democratic politician from Georgia. Born in 1944, he has a long history of public service, including serving as the Mayor of Milledgeville from 2001 to 2005. He represented the 25th district in the Georgia State Senate from 1995 to 1999 and made bids for Lieutenant Governor in 1998 and Georgia Secretary of State in 2022. He currently serves as the incumbent Member of the Georgia House of Representatives for the 149th district, having assumed office in January 2025.
