Coleman has been active in the Pittsburgh-area theater community, performing with groups such as the Heritage Players and Riverfront Theatre Company. He filed to run as a Democratic candidate for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in District 45 in 2026, but ultimately did not make the primary ballot.
