Gabriel Holguin was elected to the Anthony Board of Trustees in 2021 and was unanimously elected Mayor Pro Tempore by the board in January 2024. He graduated from Alma d'Arte Charter High School in 2018 and later received an Associate's Degree in education from New Mexico State University.
