Garrett Petersen is a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in New York's 2nd Congressional District. A native of Islip, he holds a bachelor's degree in history and political science from Stony Brook University and a Master of Education from Dowling College. Petersen currently works as a technical specialist for the Developmental Disabilities Institute, developing accessible devices for individuals with disabilities. He also serves as the deputy chair of the Islip Democrats.
