Gary McVey

Gary McVey has served on the Poulsbo City Council since 2020. Before his election, he was a Planning Commissioner for the city from 2017 to 2019. His professional background includes over 30 years of leadership experience in business, nonprofits, and government. He is the President of McVey Marketing Inc., a marketing consulting firm. His previous roles include Senior Communications Consultant at the University of Minnesota and Associate Vice President for Marketing and Communications at Hamline University. McVey earned a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies/Writing from Hamline University and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Utah State University. He has been a resident of the Poulsbo area for over 10 years.
