A lifelong resident of the Everett and Lake Stevens areas, Gary Petershagen has lived in Lake Stevens full-time since 1995. He and his wife have two grown children who graduated from the Lake Stevens School District. His career has been in the real estate industry, including banking, land development, and construction. He is the principal owner of two businesses, Alexander Reed, LLC and CD21S, LLC. Petershagen served on the city's Planning Commission for six years before being appointed to the City Council in 2016. He was subsequently re-elected in 2017 and 2021 and is seeking a third term for Position 2.
