Gerald A. 'Jerry' Jones, Jr. is a native of Morehead City and has served as its Mayor since being elected in November 1999, after a four-year term as a Councilman. He is the President and owner of G.A. Jones Construction Company and Advanced Roofing Company. He also served as the President of the North Carolina League of Municipalities in 2009 and 2010 and is involved in numerous civic organizations and boards.
