Gina Hoover is a Matthews native, a graduate of Independence High School, and an alumnus of Central Piedmont Community College. She is currently serving her first term as a Town Commissioner and is a business owner. Before being elected, she was an advocate for open and honest government. As commissioner, she serves as the liaison for the Matthews Veterans Advisory Committee and as an alternate for the Matthews Planning Board, Levine Senior Center, and the Arts and Science Council.
