Grace Meng is an American lawyer and politician serving as the U.S. representative for New York's 6th congressional district since 2013. The first Asian American member of Congress from New York, she represents the borough of Queens. She sits on the House Appropriations Committee and serves as Ranking Member of its Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science and Related Agencies. Meng previously served in the New York State Assembly from 2009 to 2012 and worked as a public-interest attorney.
