William Gregory Steube is an American politician and attorney serving as the U.S. Representative for Florida's 17th congressional district since 2019. A Republican, he previously served in the Florida Senate from 2016 to 2018 and the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2016. Steube earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Florida. He also served in the U.S. Army, including time as an Airborne Infantry Officer and in the JAG Corps during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
