Gus Michael Bilirakis is an American lawyer and Republican politician who has served as the U.S. Representative for Florida's 12th congressional district since 2013, having previously represented the 9th district from 2007 to 2013. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in the Florida House of Representatives from 1998 to 2006. Bilirakis holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and a J.D. from Stetson University, and is a senior member of the Energy and Commerce Committee.
