Gus Mattammal is an educator, business executive, and the Director of Advantage Testing of Silicon Valley. He holds a bachelor's degree in physics and mathematics from Pomona College and a master's degree from the Yale School of Management. Mattammal is an elected member of the Midcoast Community Council, serving the area between Half Moon Bay and Pacifica. He is also the President of SHIFT-Bay Area, a nonpartisan policy advocacy group. He is a candidate for California Superintendent of Public Instruction.
