Gwendy Gabelein

Gwendy Gabelein is a lifelong resident of Whidbey Island and a graduate of South Whidbey High School. She is a mother of two sons, one of whom is a graduate of the district, and has experience with public, private, and homeschooling. As a parent of a child with special needs, she has been an advocate for students' educational rights. Gabelein holds a bachelor's degree in health and human services and works as a substance use clinician. Her community involvement includes serving on the Fairgrounds Advisory Committee, the South Whidbey Wellness Coalition, and the Autism Partnership of Island County.
