Hannah M. Pingree is a Democratic candidate for Governor of Maine in the 2026 primary election. She is the daughter of US Representative Chellie Pingree. Pingree served as a Maine House Representative from 2002 to 2010, including two years as the 99th Speaker of the Maine House, becoming the second woman to hold that position. Most recently, she directed Governor Janet Mills' Office of Policy Innovation and the Future from 2019 to 2025, focusing on climate resilience, housing, and workforce development.
