Hans-Joachim Engelke

Hans-Joachim Engelke is a German immigrant who established JTE Farms in Basin City in 1984, where he is the owner and operator of a diversified crop, orchard, and custom farming operation. He has over 50 years of experience in agriculture. In January 2025, he was appointed to the Port of Pasco Commissioner seat for District 3 to fill a vacancy left by a retirement. His appointment was based on his strong agricultural background and legislative experience. He has previously served on the Franklin County Farm Service Agency Committee of the U.S. Department of Agriculture and ran for Franklin County commissioner in 2006 and 2010.
