I am a candidate for Fire Commissioner for South County Fire, District 1. I have been endorsed by Snohomish County Democrats, as well as the 1st LD. I’ve lived in Brier since 2008. My career trajectory has focused on business leadership, strategic planning, talent development, budget management, data and analytics, and team building. I believe this business experience makes me well qualified for the role of commissioner, especially as it relates to effective communication across teams and with communities, along with defining growth strategies that ensure South Snohomish County continues to have the resources necessary to serve and be served. Over the years, I’ve sought out volunteer opportunities where my skills and experience could bring value to the communities in which I belong. This has led to President and Treasurer roles on the Board of Director for Brier Terrace Middle School and Mountlake Terrace High School Music Boosters, contributions as a social media and communications coordinator for Brier Wildlife Habitat, as well as the Chair of Brier Parks & Recreation Volunteer Board of Directors, and recently as a Mentor in the ACP program helping those from the military community find their next career. My business experience will bring value to a growing organization, one with a mission and purpose where my strengths not only serve, but supercharge the teams’ success. I cannot think of a more worthwhile effort than supporting the safety of our firefighters and first responders, and their ability to effectively serve the communities of South Snohomish County.
